Tracey was born in Michigan, but spent most of her life in Anchorage, Alaska. She began playing the violin at the age of nine through academic and private study. During elementary and secondary school, Tracey performed with the Junior Youth Symphony, the Youth Symphony, All-City Orchestras, and All-State Orchestras. She continued to perform classically with the Fairbanks Symphony during college, and now performs with the Richmond Philharmonic Orchestra. In addition to her classical endeavors, Tracey performs in a wide variety of alternative venues. She has added her violin music to church choirs for over twenty-five years, playing during weekly church services, special events, and weddings. With a serious passion for Celtic and country-western music, Tracey has performed fiddle music in competitions and bands since high school. Tracey originally obtained two Bachelor of Business Arts degrees, one in management and one in marketing, from the University of Alaska Anchorage. She continued her business education with an MBA from Troy State University. After twelve years in recreation and restaurant management, Tracey returned to school and earned her Master in Teaching degree from VCU. She currently teaches second grade in Chesterfield County. Tracey has spent over fifteen years working with children, and dedicates additional time teaching both roller skating lessons and religious education.
